Who we are
The Geneva Push is an Australian church planting network. We aim to raise up a new generation of church planters dedicated to evangelising churches into existence across this great nation.
The Geneva Push is named after the city where the reformer John Calvin did most of his ministry. He raised up hundreds of missionaries and church planters to other cities and countries. Our goal is to have a similar impact on the number of churches being planted in Australia.
We will be assisting church planting in four ways:
- By recruiting, assessing, training and supporting Australian church planters as they get things started
- By working with existing networks, churches and denominations around the country to provide them with the church planters they need to reach Australia with the gospel
- By broadcasting a compelling, national vision for church planting, to expand the plans and prayers of local churches and networks
- By nurturing a robust and genuine camaraderie amongst church planters and their teams around the country
The Geneva Push is not a new denomination. It aims to be a servant for existing networks - a network for networks, if you like. We'll offer support for existing structures and denominations, and Geneva Push planters will be free to work within whichever network they choose.
